Brighton Retro Fair gallery

The first Brighton Retro Fair brought a plethora of vintage goodies to Brighton City College this Saturday, from Midwinter and Meakin ceramics and West German pottery to re-made retro lampshades and G-Plan furniture. There was something for every Mid-Century collector, with prices starting at just £1 and reaching into triple figures.
With quality pieces from traders who really know their stuff – take Elizabeth Howard BA, who loves 1950s ceramics so much she wrote a paper on them for her degree – we’re hoping that this fair comes again soon!
If you didn’t manage to get down to City College, take a look at what you missed and keep an eye out for details of future fairs on www.umbrellafairs.com.

I was next to you buying some pretty glasses whilst you were taking these pictures on one of the stalls and you take some lovely shots! You’ve certainly done it justice and they are really nice pictures. I’m not sure how many people were actually buying things, which was a shame, but hopefully the fair will return & they advertise it a bit more. I only heard about it thanks to this site and that’s one of the reasons I have just voted for you on Handbag.com! Am sure it’s a labour of life to keep coming up with new things on here, but I love it & check it most days to see what’s new, so thank you & please keep up the good work.
Hi Claire, thanks so much for your comment and thanks for voting. It’s knowing that people use and like the site that keeps it (and me) going
Looks like my heaven!
Are you doing one in 2012?
I’m from Brighton, my folks still live there and I’d come down especially if it looks as good as the above photos – Wow!
Tres excited, so please keep me posted!
