Stockholm vintage – Judits second hand

Globetrotter and serial shopper, VB editor Jo-ann Fortune reports on her favourite Stockholm boutique.

Judits Stockholm vintage & second-hand

At 75 Hornsgatann in Stockholm’s trendy Södermalm district, Judits is located at the heart of the island’s secondhand shopping area. Across the road from two large charity shops, both worth a look for the bargain-hunter, the boutique offers a carefully curated collection of vintage and pre-loved goods, from 1920s flapper dresses to 1980s denim jackets and designer shoes to high-street treats.

On my visit, a garden-themed window showcased sun-ready outfits spanning the Twenties to Seventies, with fresh flowers and grass green, baby blue and powder pink colour-coordinated displays continuing the spring fling feeling inside.

As well as the stunning selection of high quality trend-led pieces, including delicate vintage dresses, designer investment items and the very best of Scandinavian design (we spotted several pairs of pre-loved Swedish Hasbeens), the shop’s USP is tied up within its beautiful presentation: Vintage display cabinets, luggage chests, hat boxes, step ladders, film set spotlights and bureaus are among the props employed to show off the second-hand treasures.

And the owners haven’t forgotten about the menfolk either – Herr Judit can be found a couple of doors down.
