Frantic about Frances spring/summer 13
Brighton-based pin-up lingerie specialists Frantic about Frances have launched their spring/summer range. And while it may still be a bit chilly to be prancing around in fancy pants, these fun prints, reminiscent of retro bikinis and fields bursting with fresh fruits, have us longing for those endless summer days.
The three sets include decorated corsets for the first time, with pieces ranging from £22 (ribbon-tie knickers) to £220 (steel-boned corsets), all available through www.franticaboutfrances.org.uk.
“Staying with the 1950’s vibe that the label is known for, these sets will feature bullet bras in printed cottons, decorated knickers and retro-style deep suspender belts”, explains designer Jenny Mearns, who here talks us through the collection:
Be Bop a Lula
“She’s my baby… Inspired by the smouldering sounds of Gene Vincent, this polka dot set is designed for vintage vixens to tempt and tease.”
Strawberry Shortcake
“Inspired by summer picnics, True Blood’s Sookie Stackhouse and 1950s icon Brigitte Bardot; this set evokes womanly innocence, with a dash of excitement.”
Cherry Cutie
“Girlish and fun, designed to evoke memories of first kisses, love letters and 1950s drive-through movies. Be sugary and sweet in this cherry printed set.”
