Haberdashery swap at Super + Super

8 January 2013 No Comment

Building on the success of their monthly clothes swaps, Brighton’s busiest workshop space Super+Super is hosting a haberdashery swap on 18 January to get those creative juices flowing for the year ahead.

Bring along your unwanted fabrics, trims, buttons, yarns and craft projects on from 7pm and swap them for something new!

Swap entrance costs just £3 and as always at Super+Super, it’s bring your own bottle. Click here to book.

And to help you on your way to craft fulfilment, the studio’s resident seamstress Zoe Edwards, organiser of Brighton Craftaganza, will be on hand on Sunday 3 February to help you bring your unloved, unworn, broken or ill-fitting clothes back into wardrobe rotation.

The skills, techniques and approaches you will learn will depend on what your garments require, Zoe explains, but could include:

  • Hemming trousers and skirts
  • Fixing rips, tears and holes
  • Reshaping for a more flattering fit
  • Inserting a new zip
  • Shortening hems or sleeves for a new look
  • Plus many others!

The workshop runs from 10.30am – 1.30pm and costs £26 per person – book your place by clicking here.
