A look to London – Circa Vintage
Iida Heikkinen shares details of one of her favourite vintage hot spots in London and takes a look at what’s coming up for vintage lovers in the big smoke.
Tried and tested – Circa Vintage
Circa Vintage on Fulham High Street is one of my favourite vintage shops in London. It has been around for 14 years and its unique collection spans from early Victorian styles, through the roaring ’20s with its famous flapper dresses, via the cocktail dresses of the ’50s and all the way to flamboyant ’80s pieces. Here you’ll find designer gems by fashion houses such as Dior, Pucci, Valentino and Gucci all in fantastic condition.
I fell head over heels in love with this yellow vintage dream of a dress during my last visit and also fantasised about teaming this statement Chanel charm necklace with a perfect little black dress.
Next time you’re in London, make time to visit this carefully curated quality vintage haven and keep an eye out for the launch of the shop’s new website so you can browse the rails from the comfort of your sofa.
Coming Up – Pop Up Vintage Fair
On Saturday 17 August, Pop Up Vintage Fairs London is making another appearance at Old Spitalfields Market, offering both men’s and women’s vintage clothing as well as jewellery, accessories, haberdashery, china, homeware, collectables and more with sale rails full of last minute summer bargains.
On bank holiday Monday 26 August they’ll be back at Spitalfields with a fair running alongside the Paw Pageant – a doggy show with a difference! A host of doggy dudes will be donning designer fashions to raise funds for Battersea Dog and Cats Home and in the afternoon the public can then enter their pooches into the Paw Pageant and parade them down the ‘dogwalk’.
